Works well
I have a couple of these throughout the house and they do work really good as far as catching the little teeny flies. My only complaint is that I wish it came with more replacement cards as that would make it a much better value. It only comes with one.Overall, it works great and has taken care of a big problem in our house.

It does work
The effect isn’t something I notice immediately, but after a week or 2 of letting it do its thing, it caught so many! Can’t give it 5 stars bc I still see some flies around, but it’s really good to have around bc it’s a plug in and there’s no smell. I definitely recommend! I also bought the extra stickies bc of how much I like it.

Good product
In two months I’ve had this product, it’s caught only 4 fruit flies and I’ve seen plenty of them flying around. This product only serves as a night light.Edit: Two weeks later when I saw nearly 3 flies on there, I gave up on it. I was going to throw it out and saw the final result. Works and the refills are affordable. Try it out

Works ok
You need to have a serious bug problem to get a lot on there like I see on a lot of these testimonies. I have like 10 gnats and 1 fly on it now and it’s been about a month. Works better at night. But it’s cheap enough, if it works a little, it’s served its purpose.

Amazing!
I don’t usually leave reviews, but this product is amazing! I left on a trip for three weeks and when I came home, I found tons of flies in my bedroom. I ordered this and it got delivered today. It has been 3 HOURS and all the flies are “gone” already. It attracted them so quickly and I am incredibly impressed! I don’t know how well it works for fruit flies or gnats, but for regular flies, it works beautifully!

Great night light too
We get the occasional fly in the house that you have to chase around for days with a fly swatter. This little gadget gets the job done. I haven’t noticed a single fly since we plugged it in. When you look at the sticky trap side you’ll notice that it traps all sorts of bugs, mostly fruit flies and gnats. The soft blue light makes for a good nightlight too.

This thing works!
Guys, I normally don’t write reviews but I felt the need to share this. This thing works like a charm! No pesticides, no smell, just a sticky board. I have them throughout the house. This one was in my garage for 3 weeks. They work really well around the kitchen sink too. I’d highly recommend getting one, especially if you have issues with fruit flies. They’re inexpensive and work wonders.

It works great!
I used it in my kitchen since that’s where I get the most gnats or fruit flies. I like it because there is nothing to do but plug it in and wait. You do have to make sure a d leave it in an area that is most effective, but it works

Really works
I bought this because I had very annoying mosquitos get into my bedroom. Was a bit skeptic at first, but it works really well. The thing is, I don’t have space to plug it into the wall so I plugged it into an extension cord so the whole thing is on its side with the sticky pad face up and the blue light really illuminating it (also functions as a mini night light that isn’t insanely bright). This thing has trapped mosquitos, gnats, and even a very fat fly. The second sticky pad I put elsewhere and it was plugged into the wall like instructed. That one did not trap as many bugs, probably because the light isn’t as bright/visible and and sticky side is facing the wall so bugs would have to go behind it to get trapped. My advice to anyone using this, plug it like how I did with my first one with the whole thing on its side with the sticky pad facing upward and nothing blocking it.

If you have gnat BUY THIS RIGHT NOW
I will fully admit I cheaped out and bought the pineapple-shaped traps and got jaded about how this kind of thing works, but this is on a whole ‘nother level and is worth *every penny.*We’ve been fighting fungus gnat from a houseplant I bought, and it was just getting worse and worse. I finally had enough and decided that I’d try this, based on some recommendations from two Facebook groups. (Yes, it took more than one group to recommend it before I bought them.)Y’all, this WORKS. After three days I decided to buy the 48-pack of refills because I am so impressed with them! I have a lot of houseplants and the thought of going through adding sand to the top of the soil or starting all over again was not something I wanted to do, so it’s been a tremendous relief to no longer have to cover my water glass! I haven’t found a gnat in my water (or on the bottom of the bathtub and shower) for two weeks now, and it’s been amazing.

This product works!!
We purchased this product last weekend due to a gnat issue in our house. We had tried the apple cider vinegar and soap mix but couldn’t seem to catch any of the gnats/fruit flies. We set up the device in the kitchen and one in the bathroom. The picture is the one from the kitchen from just a little over a week of it plugged in. The one in the bathroom has approximately 10 fruit flies on it right now.Very pleased at how well this device has worked! Highly recommend trying this device out!

READ my review….
**Use this Plug-In Fly Trap in conjunction with BIO-CLEAN (see my photos, sold by another seller) and you will have 90% to 100% success in eliminating drain flies… and your sanity will return!I purchased the Plug-In Fly Trap for a small bathroom where I have been battling drain flies for 5+ years! I am using it in conjunction with the BIO-CLEAN product.**READ BELOW….When I tell you I have used 5+ OTC products PLUS several do it yourself remedies and concoctions for drain flies, none of which worked well, not exaggerating. I even clean out the tub trap and use a small snake-like tool to remove anything in the drain thinking that could be a breeder issue.Initially I treated all drains for the flies, even the washer drain, until I figured out the exact problem area. No water source area was not treated. I even bought a tiny little scrub brush on a snake that goes down into the drain lines. Still had drain flies. Finally…. using duct tape, taped down over the drains, that is how I finally figured out where the problem area was, where they were flying out of getting stuck on the tape. Now that I knew where…..over the past 5+ years I have poured huge pots of boiling water down the tub/shower drain, repeating daily for a few days. Helped, but still seeing them daily; I have used vinegar mixed with baking soda, repeating daily for days. Helped, but still seeing them daily; I have poured a cup of bleach (the thick no-splash gel kind) at a time down the drains, waiting a few hours then rinsing with hot water. Did this for several days in a row. Helped, but still seeing them daily; I have used powerful drain cleaners/chemicals for clogged drains, even though my drain works at 100%. Helped, but still seeing them daily; I have spent A LOT OF MONEY purchasing various liquid pre-mixed drain cleaners ADVERTISED FOR DRAIN FLIES here on Amazon. Sometimes treating 2 weeks at a time, daily, sometimes twice daily. Helped, but still seeing multiples daily.FINALLY I HEARD ABOUT THIS PRODUCT – BIO CLEAN.RUN and get yourself some, quickly, if you have drain flies! THIS is the only drain fly product that really works, however not 100%. Use it overnight for about 2 weeks straight. Do not use water for about 8 hrs in that drain. After you get rid of them, or most, use 1x a week as maintenance. Most days I see a fly when I turn the water on, flying out of the drain, or on the shower wall or even in the toilet. Sometimes in other areas of the condo, like at my computer screen. Not 1-2 dozen a day anymore, just 1 or 2 a day most days, and not the larger ones, usually the smaller gnat-like flies. I am convinced I will never be totally rid of them, even with all I am doing, and using BIO-CLEAN weekly. There is something way down in that drain pipe that is the culprit.NOW…. since I plugged this light in the bathroom a week ago, it is catching most of those stragglers (see photo). If you have drain flies you must clean out the enzymes in all your drains with a enzyme cleaning product, do it time to time (weekly if needed, or monthly as a preventative) as routine maintenance, especially the problem drains. Enzymes is what drain flies feed on.*I gave the Plug-In Fly Trap 2 stars for “value for money”…. $17.97 is very costly for this product and refills are a bit expensive. Now that I know there are plug-in products with a UV LED light fro this problem, I will shop around.

It works!
We had picked all the garden veggies at the end of the season and had attracted some fruit flies. This was way easier than making a bug trap with vinegar and plastic wrap. It took a few days but no more little bugs! I just don’t love that you have to keep repurchasing the stickers.

Works great
It works. And is cheaper than competitors. Might get another. I have it in the kitchen for the fruit flies. I did notice it was more efficient if there’s times where it’s totally dark in the room (due to conflicting schedules, there’s times when the kitchen light is on most of the night, it still worked then, just not as well as one would probably hope for) the sticker paper lasts for a while too-I haven’t had to replace it yet since it’s still got adhesive space & is still catching them. I think it’s even catching some of the fleas too!

It works!
That’s about all there is to say about this thing. If there is one negative, it is that it is rather bright, and with an open environment it was too much to keep in the kitchen. I placed it in the laundry room, so it is about 20 feet from the kitchen counter. The counter is where I had problems with the occasional fruit fly. I had my doubts that it would attract them, but as you can see from the photo, it did the job.

It works!
I’ve had this thing plugged in for about a month and it’s already caught eight flies and several gnats. I’ve had the best luck keeping it plugged in next to my bathroom sink. There was one fly that almost escaped and I questioned if it sticks well on the edges, he would be able to potentially get off if only one leg was stuck. Also something bigger did get stuck and there are two legs left behind. Almost seems like it was a moth because there is a dusting between the two legs that stuck.

Great for fruit flies!
I like this contraption! It seems to be better for fruit flies/gnats, not actual flies. We’ve had this up for a couple weeks and still have a bit of a fruit fly problem but it has caught a lot! I like this as a solution to not using chemicals in the home or having an annoying/stinky apple cider vinegar potion on the kitchen counter. Haha we have all been there! It’s a bit of an eye sore but worth it to get the job done!

Must follow recommendations for WHERE to plug it in
What’s key to using this product is **where** you plug it in. Insects don’t fly low, so plugging into a lower outlet, like you would a lamp or vacuum won’t work. They do great plugged in above a kitchen countertop, wet bar, and bathroom vanity. We’ve had success with flies, gnats, no see-ums, and small moths.

So far I’ve only plugged in at night and I only thought I had one or two little bugs and it has caught way more. The light is very bright and attracts them all. I move from room to room each night and unplug during the day.

Happy to murder these bugs
My happiness with the results of this product are directly proportional to my passionate hatred of all these gnats/flies/red-eyed winged micro-demons that invade my house every summer.I leave out cutesy vinegar traps here and there to some success but this sticky trap is doing some great work to decimate the population! There is a noticeable decrease in how often I see the bugs – sometimes I don’t even see them at all! I plug it in next to my kitchen sink.I’m writing this review as I shop for a refill pack. I’d say my infestation issue is considered “moderate” and one sticky card lasted a good couple months, probably longer but I’m thinking a crowded card might reduce the catch rate – testing that now.Even so, I only really need this for the height of gnat season in spring/summer. So if you only have the occasional drain/plant gnat it could probably last even longer.

So far so good ( Updated twice )
I bought this for my classroom. we have compost worms and when we fed them fruit / veggies, it attracts a lot of fruit flies. Today I put the lid on our worm compost bin (see in second image on floor), to trap all of the fruit flies. I then opened it up on the floor next to the wall plug and they all immediately flew towards it. I had bought a much more expensive one originally and was unhappy with those results ( used for one week). I have been using this new wall plug in for about 8 hours today and am much more happy with these results. I will update after the weekend!Update : it is Monday and I am very happy with the results. ( see new image) I will continue to use this in my classroom.

Works great!!
I never write reviews but I love this thing!! I got it because fruit flies attract to this hanging fruit holder in my kitchen and they’ve been driving me NUTS. We also have a lot of gnats. This has done great at catching even regular flies which has been such a nice surprise. It only draws the flies in at night once all other lights are out but it’s so nice that flies aren’t just swarming around til we swat them/til they die.

Updated
Update: I’ve had it for over a month and I wanted to come back and say it does work, but it takes a long time to catch all of the flies. I’d suggest having more than one trap if you have a big problem with fruit flies.Original review: I’ve had this plugged in for 5 days and I’ve caught more fruit flies with my bare hands than this trap has. I carefully followed the instructions and have it in a place where I’ve noticed a lot of fruit flies and I turned off competing light sources. The only reason I gave it two stars instead of one is because it caught a single fly.

my wife says it works…
…I don’t think it does much of anything. You can look at the glue board and there are small gnat-ish things, but never a fly or micro-moth that we have.8ft from it at night (hey sure we have lights on) I have a gnat flying in my face every night. So either they breed faster than they stick to this or it does not 100% of what you’d think.Better than nothing inside perhaps.

A Must-Have for a Bug-Free Home!
I recently purchased an indoor bug catcher, and it has made a noticeable difference in keeping my home bug-free. If you’re looking for a convenient and effective way to deal with insects without resorting to harmful chemicals, this product is a great option.1. **Effective and Humane:** The bug catcher is surprisingly effective at capturing various types of insects.2. **Easy to Use:** The design is straightforward and user-friendly. It’s a relief to have a tool that works without any complicated setup or maintenance.3. **Safe for Kids and Pets:** Since it doesn’t rely on toxins or electric shocks, I feel much safer using this around my children and pets. There’s no risk of accidental exposure to harmful substances.4. **Quiet Operation:** The bug catcher operates quietly, so it doesn’t disrupt the household. I can leave it running in any room without it being an annoyance.5. **Portable and Lightweight:** The device is compact and easy to move from room to room. I like that I can place it wherever it’s needed most, whether that’s the kitchen, living room, or bedroom.

Yuck 🤢
This thing works! Wish I didn’t have to see all the dead bug bodies…gross looking like puncture holes in paper (it might give the Willys). It’s easy to install and the product doesn’t weight a lot. I don’t know if it kills bugs out right, but it certainly catches a bunch of them. The size is comparable to the height of a large mobile phone charging in a docking station in the outlet and stands out from the wall like those Glade plug-ins some people use. It doesn’t get every bug, but it definitely gets a lot of them.BTW, this was not an incentivized purchase outside of my trying to get rid of fruit flies that were bothersome and breeding in my houseplants. I paid for this product after seeing a commercial on YouTube.

BEGONE BUGS!!
I have had a gnat problem for over a month and decided to purchase one of these sticky light things as an act of desperation. I decided to compare it to another one I purchased at a store and after a few weeks I would say I’m satisfied. The trap is in my bathroom, a less traveled spot for bugs than where the other one is inside my kitchen. However, the trap did its job and has caught over 100 gnats I think and a few moths I didn’t know were inside my home. I also love that the light can serve as a nightlight. The trap makes zero noise, is very sticky, and is not TOO bright so that it’s annoying. Overall, I would recommend, even if you don’t think you have bugs. (Definitely not a vegan friendly trap though)

Not perfect, but …
… can *any* device or method work perfectly? I sure haven’t found any….I use mine to eradicate the fruitflies hanging around my kegerator. I also use an extension cord, rather than plugging directly into the wall plug.I use it face up, and super close to the area I need it to work in. Ive been running it for about a week and should probably replace the “trap” now, but I’ll wait another week just to see if it’ll last that long and still be useful.A lot of these reviews are pretty drastic on both sides of the spectrum, but my experience has been about what I expected. I’ll continue to use it until a friend/relative suggests something else that actually works. But my days of searching and trying to find a better one is over. I’m content with the performance of this one.

Performance
I just got thi hence the 3 stars. I’m giving it a week and if it doesn’t work I will send it back for a refund as I have other products with the same claim. Check back for an update. Update: I’ve had this since the 12th of October, for four days. I’ve tried other things but this one actually works. It takes a couple days or Soto clear them out but it seems to be working better than the gel in a jar that did nothing. I highly recommend this product to anyone that has fruit flies and knats. It does actually seem to be working. More updates as the days go by

This product is amazing!
I didn’t know that I had so many gnats (and perhaps other tiny flies?) in the master bathroom and my office. All I knew is that it seemed that there was something that was doing a “drive-by-bite”, and it was so fast that I could never see it, hence I could never catch it. I recently killed a couple of gnats in the master bath, something I hadn’t seen in the first 2 years we first purchased this home, so I feel like this problem is new.I started looking into how to fix the situation, and I knew right away that I was not interested in creating a whole bunch of contraptions of apple cider vinegar with sweeteners, etc, to catch these. I didn’t want jars of liquid all over my house. So, as usual, I knew someone on Amazon had figured out an easier way, and here we are! Now, I definitely need to figure out the root cause, but in the meantime, the solution offered by the Safer Home gnat/fly trap is fantastic. At first, it seemed to be slow going, but within a half hour, one gnat was already on the card. I thought, well, that was probably the one who had been continuously biting my feet and legs! Later, I saw another stuck on the card and then didn’t see much action for a couple of days. Days later there were a couple more…and more! I was thinking, yes, yes, invite all of your friends and family! And it seems that they did. Within 2 weeks or so, the card was nearly covered!Occasionally, I will turn on the light in the bath and find one or two crawling along the edge, or dancing behind the card, and then it jumps on the card and back off. It’s fascinating! If one is running along the edge, I will help him meet his fate sooner, and if not, he will eventually stick to the card with everyone else. What I do notice though is that in the afternoon one gnat (or two?) wanders into the office where I am working after I’ve closed the light-blocking curtains to block the heat and sun. (I guess they are drawn in by the lamp?) So, now I am wondering if I should put another Safer Home trap right on my desk, or by my legs because all of the drive-by-biting makes it difficult to concentrate on what I’m working on.For anyone who says “it didn’t work” may need a bit more patience, or they have too much light in the place where the night light is placed. I placed mine in the master bath, and it’s pretty dark in there, but there’s no door to the main portion of the bath (only where the toilet is). I thought that the light from the gigantic sliding glass windows in the office would affect how the product worked, but it hasn’t. In other words, too much light coming in from elsewhere wouldn’t draw the gnats to the UV light in the bath, but this must not be the case for my master bath.I am so thankful for this product, and I recommend it!P.S. I have attached 2 pictures of what the trap looks like in the master bath with a bit of light filtering in from the big windows in the office. It seems that if you can get your space at least this dark, this product will do wonders for your space – and your ability to concentrate while working!!

OMG!… This thing works!
We get gnats consistently during this time of year. So we purchased this device and hoped it would work. For the first year, we’d get a few gnats. Nothing serious. Then we recently had an apple rotting on the bottom; unaware that it was in this condition because the sides and top were fine. When we started getting more gnats than normal, I started investigating. We got rid of the apple and I figured it was time to replace the strip. I usually change them about every 6 or so months. But with the increase in gnat traffic and the rotten apple, I thought I’d better do it after only 2 months. Check the attached photo… It was packed with gnats and even caught a fly or two… This stuff works!!!

These Bug Lites are INSANE
After re-potting some plants with infested soil, we were swarmed with tiny bugs. I read the reviews and picked up a couple of these Safer Brand bug lites. Within 15 min, one lite had captured 4 bugs. Hmmm, looks promising.I was astonished to see the next morning that in less than 24 hours, the two traps captured about 75 bugs between them. In 48 hours it’s over 100 bugs. Nothing better than a product that works, and works very effectively. Five Stars!!!!

This WORKS
I’ve had a lot of little gnats hanging out around the kitchen, I’ve always used those dangling fly strips but have had my eye on this little bug catching light for a while and decided to purchase one. I plugged it in last night and this morning woke up to about a dozen gnats already caught!! I’m so impressed, normally it takes several days before the fly strips will catch their first gnat/fly. Also looks much more aesthetically pleasing, sort of a nice blue/purple glow like a nightlight, rather than a long sticky string covered in bugs. Love this and highly recommend!!!

Vinegar w dish soap works better than this
I’ve had this plugged in for 15 days- and just now caught 1 fruit fly. However, I also made a concoction of apple cider vinegar and dish soap and put it in a container wrapped with plastic wrap with holes- and that started catching flies on day one (15 days later I have 22 flies in the vinegar). But I still give it 4 stars bc I still appreciate that it’s a sustainable option that I can just have plugged in and not worry about (a plastic see-through container of vinegar and bugs is quite an eyesore lol)

Annoying gnats
I wasn’t sure how this product would work but I was desperate enough to try it out. We have pesky gnats at work that are attracted to the computer monitor. I plugged it in & 1st day nothing. 3 days later thete was 1 gnat. Now 20 days later there are more than 20. I really don’t know how many gnats are in the office. It only takes 1 to be a pest. What I do know is after I plugged in the light I didn’t see them flying around even on day one. So maybe it was flying by the light & not in front of my screen.

Amazing product!
I live in the Midwest where gnats are an annoying common occurrence. I saw an ad on television for Zevo bug catchers. So off to the great Amazon I go to research, read reviews, etc. I found this product very similar to the advertisement, read some reviews, and decided due to the low price, id give this product a shot, not expecting very much. Within 24 hours of plugging this in, I was amazed. Multiple gnats caught. The system is easy to set up, has a nice (but not too bright) light to attract bugs. Came with a refill sticky that I have not had to change yet. I only purchased one of these thinking if it worked I would purchase a second for another room in the house, but after putting the first one up, but we haven’t had the need for a second! Highly recommend. Have already shared to my family and friends.

We’ve had these up in our kitchen for about a month.Pros: Nowadays they seem to be catching several fruit flies and are effectively reducing our fruit fly problem.Cons:-They take a while to start trapping flies or the flies are sensitive to the trap location or something.-The light is awfully bright, it’s unpleasant to even accidentally look at. I’m unsure how necessary it is for it to be this bright. This also really depends on the height of your outlets.-If you have long hair, you can accidentally get it stuck in the trap :(Overall it’s useful and you have to be patient with it but don’t expect it to solve everything– take care of your food waste and clean your drains if you can.

Freaking AWESOME!! A++
Wow! After my kids had left our back door open for 2 hours on accident and had let in gnats and all kinds of stuff in, I had just gotten the Amazon package, that morning, so I plugged it in, and within half an hour, there were already 10 nats on the sticky pad. This thing really works! You can even tilt the fly trap to the left and to the right in case you have it plugged in in a weird spot. The sticky pad is on the card that you see that is plugged into the top. It’s very easy to get in and out. The light is perfect. It’s not too bright and not to faint. It actually would be a perfect night light, on top of its main job of catching gnats, etc. very great price, I just wish you would have came with more than two of the glue cards. Otherwise, I’m totally impressed! Your product kicks butt!

Worth it!
My husband and I have quite the collection of houseplants going on. We recently had a huge unexpected surge of those little brown gnats that hang around plants and pelt you in the face, especially in our bathroom with a south facing window, which doubles as a houseplant retreat when they look like they need a little sunlight infusion. We also have had a smaller, but still annoying, surge in our bedroom, which also has houseplants in it. Yesterday I decided I’d had enough and bought what I originally thought was a totally bougie and unnecessary purchase, these little light traps. Why would I spend almost $30 on two little plugins when there are so many alternatives?BECAUSE:-These are nowhere near as hideous and gross looking as regular fly traps. You do not see the flies until you remove them and they are small and sleek looking.-They attract the bugs with light, so I don’t have to just hope that the bugs wander into the trap.-They are chemical free which is important to me with an extremely curious toddler in the house. We also tried home remedies like soapy water and apple cider vinegar to no avail, just a stanky vinegary bathroom, these have no smell and actually work.-They are super easy to install, you just peel the backing off the card, slide it into the unit, plug it in and let it do its thing.-It’s silent, you’re only aware of it because of the light, which my husband didn’t love, but he doesn’t love gnats pelting him in the face more, so we’ll take it.-It is super easy to clean and dispose of, it’s not unruly like regular fly traps.I didn’t want to spend money on this initially and put it off till I couldn’t stand it anymore, I wish I had just bought them earlier. They are amazing.I’ve seen some complaints about these not treating the root cause of the problem/gnats and flies coming back. Obviously, these won’t kill eggs or prevent other bugs from coming into your house. But blaming the product for that is like buying a treadmill and then complaining that though it did help you exercise and did exactly what it said it would do, it didn’t stop you from overeating your favorite junk foods. This does exactly what it’s supposed to do. These photos are from one night, less than 12 hours, the difference is noticeable in our house. We assumed it would be more effective at night because it’s the only light source attracting the bugs. This may be my favorite purchase of 2024.My only complaint is that there is some kind of residue on the plug in itself which smears the printed on label, is a bit sticky and left black fingerprints around(last picture). It came off when I washed my hands but this was annoying. This happened before we even touched the sticky paper, so we know it’s an issue with the actual plugin unit. Still worth it to us.

Works great!
I have had troubles with gnats and different flying insects. We live at the river and our door is always opening and closing so everything comes in. These have been a huge help. I have one in the kitchen ( the door we use most often) and in the pantry ( slash utility room) and they work amazingly. The stickiness last a long time and the light works as an attractant.

Works Yet Doesn’t Work.
Look, I really like this very well. I had a fungus gnat infestation. So I got this and it took care of 80% of the gnats in a few days time.I run mine year round. And It worked great. Then one day I was catching less gnats. And I can’t understand it.I run mine day and night and leave no other lights on.Perhaps I had less gnats or using generic sticky pads is the culprit.I don’t know. I however will continue to use it as I like the design and perhaps the season change is why I have seen less gnats. These don’t run up your electricity bill like the traditional bug zappers. And they don’t overkill with too much light.Just enough to create a small glare on the wall to attract gnats.Pretty cool product. But the replacement sticky pads from this company need to either come down in price. Or at least double the quantity for the price they are asking.I will stick with the 100 count generic sticky pads for now. Since they are far more affordable and seen just as sticky as the Safer brand.

These actually work great
I have had the yellow sticky things in my plants and could not get rid of those annoying black plant knots. Completely silent. Catches gnats, flies and small moths. I change them out when they are full and the last one lasted 3 months. Super easy to replace, just slide the dirty one out, and slide another in. I was surprised to see that they are sticky enough to even catch a fly ! Where has these been all my life. I have over 40 houseplants and I can say I haven’t seen a gnat is over a month. I put one upstairs and one in my plant room.

It does trap the gnats!
The one star off is only due to the flat shape of the card/design. I find the glare from the light from the sides very distracting.I need them in several areas where we sit or work. There is another type I bought to compare- their design has a “shade” of sorts that curves around a bit which makes the light glare more tolerable. However, there were much less bugs stuck to them. The light from Safer Home is more of a purple/lavender color while the other one is more blue. I’m not sure if that is what makes the difference in catch the annoying little critters. We had moved to a different house and seemed to be invaded with the annoying tiny flying critters- fruit flies, fungus gnats or whatever. I put nematodes in my house plants, used insecticidal sprays on them to no avail. I then tried fungus gnat/fruit fly stuff you put in drains and treated my house plants multiple times over a couple of months. All of that barely made a dent in the critters.I bought a 2 pack of Safer Home stickies and they filled up quickly! Still a high number, I bought multiple lights and a large pack of card refills, and have them in most rooms other than bedrooms. I went from changing the sticky cards several times a week to 1-2 times a month. If one of the annoying things flits in to my face (which is rare now) I check the cards to see if they need changed. The high number of bugs on the cards has diminished greatly tho it has taken about 2+ months to get to this stage.I haven’t really been able to figure out where the invasion originated, but these measures have greatly reduced the numbers. I plan to treat the house plants again with nematodes and soap spray and to keep the trap refills on hand. When the weather cools, I am going to unplug all but about 4 of the lights. I am not a night light fan, but I am a fan of these bug lights!PS- if you turn the ones in lower receptacles upside down it helps with the light glare. You really need to keep them on 24/7 to maximize the trapping. The plug part will rotate part way around which doesn’t obstruct other things you may need to plug in.

Basically flypaper with blue light.
The device is quite simple. It plugs into a standard AC socket in your home and it makes a blueish purple light. Many but not all flying insects tend to like that light spectrum and will gravitate around it. The card attached to the device is essentially one-sided sticky fly paper. Any insect trying to get close to the light will likely walk over the lit up card surface facing the socket and become stuck there and die. The appeal of already dead insects on a card will often attract even more. You occasionally replace the card when it is covered in dead insects or when the sticky material no longer works. Many bugs could care less about blue light and will 1st go to the tastiest source of food first. Most insects are also attracted to the carbon dioxide you breath out. Also lights nearby that are brighter than this will attract the insect first. These traps work best in a dark room with no other lights and no snacks available to them. If you are providing sources of food or sweaty people or pets or other light distractions, youll find these useless. These will tend to trap those insects curious about the light. Also large flies will sometimes just rip their trapped legs off on the sticky area and fly away to live another day. So depending on your type of flying bugs and their feeding habits, you may or may not catch anything with these. For me here in AZ, we get tiny little brown gnats that come in the cracks in doorways or dry drains and constantly buzz human faces for that CO2 hit they crave. They are attracted to lights and land all around them. They are so tiny and fast that swatting them is almost impossible. We have ponds within a block or two and so they hatch there and then seek out the lights elsewhere. I can fill one of those hanging fly strips in a month. But those fly strips are ugly and smell bad. I sure wouldnt have a big fly strip where anyone can see the dead bugs or where there is food cooked or consumed. I plugged in one of these devices in my kitchen and one in my bathroom and one in my living room and one in my bedroom. They work for trapping these tiny annoying gnats. This device serves the same purpose as a fly strip with the added benefit of a light attracting them to it. The ugly dead bug side of the card faces the wall socket. You only see what looks like a night light and white card. You wont likely even notice it in the daytime. While I don’t like having to pay $25 or so for refills, I hate gnats buzzing me more. Usually within an hour of a gnat getting inside, its found its way to the trap. Although I havent tried it, you could probably also stick some sort of dry bait to the card to further entice their interest.I did deduct 1 star because it isn’t foolproof and some flying insect types just dont care if it’s there or not and will ignore it.

This thing is AWESOME
Honestly, I wasn’t expecting a whole lot, but this thing is GREAT!!! We’ve had a gnat problem cause of the weather and it’s so annoying swatting them away all the time, while I’m cooking, baking, washing dishes, they even got into my office! A week after plugging this thing in, I don’t even notice any more gnats flying around. No more surprise gnats in my coffee 😭 I’m definitely gonna buy a few more for some other rooms, I wonder what other ugly critters it will catch for me. And this isn’t even the expensive one! It’s affordable AND effective!

Great product
I bought this because I had a fly problem. While I don’t think it got all of the flies, it definitely helped. Also, I never even realized the gnats and fruit flies I occasionally get until I got this thing. I think it’s a great addition to the kitchen. It catches bugs I never realized were there. I do buy the off brand refills that work just as effectively for a lower price.

Plug-In Fly Traps do the Job
I was looking for a way to get rid of the pesky, flying insect problem–and bingo! The Safer Home works great in controlling it at a reasonable price. Plus, it doubles as a night light, as well. A delightful surprise. I recommend you trying this gem. You won’t regret it.

It actually works
My dog brought home a flea infestation. I bought this Safer trap along with a Terro trap. Both operate on the same principle – a chemical free glue paper and light. Within a week, this Safer trap caught a couple dozen fleas while the Terro trap attracted none. I believe fleas were more attracted to the frequency of the LED light used in the Safer trap versus the incandescent light of the Terro trap. The other advantage of this safer trap is that it is smaller and and plugs directly into a wall outlet, so no worries about tripping over a cord.

Perfect
These fly catchers are great. They really catch all the unwanted flying things in the house. Flys. Gnats. All of it. Also perfect that it has a light which attracts these pests but the light also can serve as a nightlight! Change it every 30days or when full.

It works! Five stars!
Best thing since sliced bread. I like that it works. It doesn’t look bad. I’m very happy with it. It’s tempting to buy the knock off refill cards because they are cheaper… I get aggravated with all the copycats. They make shopping so time consuming and difficult. So I’ll stay with Safer.

Catches fruit flies!
These have been great nontoxic option for capturing random fruit flies in my home. They are attracted to the light, which works well around areas that are not next to windows.

To my surprise, it worked
I purchased this because we had these little, tiny bugs flying around in the house. I wasn’t too sure how something like this would work, but it actually did. I. put it on and then left it for just two days. I took a look and there were bugs stuck on there.

A Sticky Gnat Grabber with a But
The Safer Home Indoor Fly Trap is a little fighter against those pesky gnats that seem to magically appear in your houseplants or fruit bowl. Here’s a closer look at this gnat-catching gadget to help you decide if it’s the right weapon for your war on tiny flies.Gnat Terminator (Eventually):Good news: This trap is effective for catching gnats, especially after a few days of operation. Those little gnat suckers will be history…well, stuck to a history-making sticky card, at least.Not-so-great news: It doesn’t address the root cause of the gnat infestation. While it will trap existing gnats, it won’t stop more from hatching or flying in from elsewhere. So, you might need to combine this trap with other methods to truly vanquish the gnat menace.Chemical-Free Fly Fighter:A big plus: This trap is completely chemical-free. This makes it a safe choice for homes with curious children or rambunctious pets. You can breathe easy knowing there are no harmful fumes or sprays involved.A Sticky Situation:Think flypaper: The trap uses a sticky card to capture gnats. This is similar to classic fly strips, and while effective, it might not be the most aesthetically pleasing solution for your home decor.Slow and Steady Wins the Race (Against Gnats):Be patient: The trap might not catch a ton of gnats right away. Give it a few days to work its magic and for the gnats to discover their sticky doom. The Verdict:The Safer Home SH502 Indoor Fly Trap is a decent option for a chemical-free way to catch gnats. It’s easy to use and works moderately well. However, it’s not a silver bullet solution and won’t eliminate the source of the gnats. Consider using it alongside other methods to completely eradicate those gnat invaders.

It Works
Left it there for a couple days and only a little bit of bugs was on it. Then i made sure all the lights in the house was off so only the blue light from the plug in was on and didn’t check on it for about a week. And when i did i was surprised it actually worked. This is what i saw
